Thanks Blenheim!!!

Moving up North was a great idea. The weather is warmer, dryer and the days seem longer. We have been living in Blenheim for the last three weeks picking grapes. We found a hostel type place that helps place you in vineyard jobs. In the last three weeks we have picked many types of grapes, but mostly chardonnay and pinot noir. We have also picked Riesling and Gris.

Working in the vineyards has been very good for the soul. Zoey and I have found that talking through the grape vine, very awakening. We find that we are able to communicate in a brand new way. During the day, we work either side of a particular set of trees, without looking each other in the face. Without seeing each other, we talk about the wildest thing. In short it has been great.

Zoey and I are going to spend some time apart, which saddens me greatly. Zoey is heading off to South America, to visit Argentina and Chile. I will be headed home for some West coast adventures.

With less than a week left in New Zealand, the whole trip is constantly playing through my mind. Mostly about things that I wish would have been better, and things I wish could have been different. But I am proud of what we have done. Looking back… I wouldn’t really have changed anything. This trip may have been “the time of my life”. at such a young age, and the bar set so high, I have a lot to do in order to have “the time of my life” … but I will do it.
